Brännboll 2010

Yesterday was a lot of fun.  It started with meeting Jennie in town at 11am and going to a friend of her sisters place to have a beer.  I had only had a macka for breakfast and Jennie had only had coffee so we were a little bit tipsy by the time we left for the tournament around noon.

We had a great time just watching the games and supporting her sisters team (kartellen).  There was a great soundtrack as well ;)

And plenty of beer haha.  Jennie and I were already drunk after the 2nd game (which our team lost by Rock Paper Scissors!!) and then came the vodka shots so after that we had a faaabulous time walking home to me and eating Kebab pizza :D

When we were home we pretty much crashed.   After a couple of hours it was out again to Jennie’s to pick up the rest of our drinks and headed over to the same place we were at that morning.  We drank and played games and socialized and threw cards and drank some more before heading over to TC and deciding that since it was 20+ we wouldn't get in.  Of course its always nice to find out later that someone knew the bouncer and we could've gotten in :P but im glad i went home cause i died on the couch and ended up making mexican soup and watching fight club.

The best part of the evening I must say, was when Jennie got a text from Dea reading:

DET ÄR NÅN KVINNA SOM ÄR HELT BORTA I VÅRAN LÄGENHET HAHAHAHA JAG DÖR VET INTE HUR VI SKA FÅ UT HON XD

Apparently a (most likely extremely drunk) woman had somehow managed to get into the apartment and wouldn't really leave so Jennie and I went out onto the balcony and called Dea so that she could pretend that she was coming to us and convince the lady to leave.

Today was spent doing absolutely nothing except:

1. Preparing for our barbecue
2. Barbecuing
3. Eating

That is what has happened so far.  But maaaan was it goooood :D

Recap: Monday

Yesterday was surprisingly really fun.  Or "surprisingly."  I wasn't sure how things would go so I just went with it and even though I had a killer headache and felt a bit feverish I smiled and laughed and had a good time.

First Jennie, Hanna G and I biked to Strömpilen to go to DinSko, Vera Moda, and Kicks (always fun) and I ended up finding my new fabulous shoes that I can barely walk in.  But don't worry, that'll change by the end of the week ;)  I'm already getting better I think.

Afterwards we came back to school to congratulate Dea and Michaela for finishing their tests.  Of course it was so badly organized that only 4 of us were there on time and while we waited for the others to arrive Dea and Michaela came out from the test.  Anyways, we ate lunch together and drank Pommac so it was great.  Afterwards we returned books and Hanna G and I played a great quick game of Chess (ahahahahaha) and then rushed to play dodgeball against the teachers.

Oh my goodness, I miss team sports so much.  Soooo much fun!

After dodgeball we went home and changed to get all dressy and went to dinner at Balders.  Taco buffé yum yum yum!  Then we fixed our little project and ended up at Pipe's for a drink.  Unfortunately, I probably won't be drinking until CSN comes in so...we'll see how I end up fixing Brännbollsyran :P

I am now done with high school.  Feels super weird.  It hasn't really kicked in yet, although I do get random spaz attacks when I remember.  But then it goes away and I forget that I'm done and that in the fall I begin my long road to a degree in Chemistry.  Or business, we'll see right?

Yesterday there was a great mini party on my balcony.  Me, Jennie, Hanna G and eventually Dea when she got back from Kramfors.  We laughed ourselves silly and had great summery drinks.  I decided to try the Mango Bacardi Breezer yesterday and I must say, I was not let down.  It was super delish ;)  And of course the timeless Smirnoff Ice :D  Perfect summer drinks.  Not to mention Jennie and I managed to watch all 5 episodes of Grey's Anatomy that we had missed, including the season finale.  I died.  Almost quite literally.  There were tears and screams at the small laptop scream.  WHAT THE FUCK does not even cover it.  It was an amazing finale.

Unfortunately, today was not as great.  Started off by waking up at 13.15 so that was the first sign.  Followed by checking the fridge and realizing we had absolutely no food so I skipped breakfast.  Luckily Dea came home from town with a bit of food for lunch...Afterwards was the IIHL championship (hockeys VM) semifinal match between Sweden and Czech Republic.  Sweden was leading 2-1 until the last 15 seconds when Czech scored and they went into overtime that led to penalty shots.  It ended up with Czech Rep winning and me and Dea sitting on the balcony in silence and then screaming at the tv and then sitting in silence again.  Both of us were shaking near the end of the match cause we were so nervous.

Needless to say, that ruined my day.  And today is Kulturnatta so theres  music, fashion shows, and art shows galore in town, just 10 minutes walk away but I can't bring myself to be happy.  We might stroll down there later though.. maybe around 10 or 11 cause thats when the bigger shows are...But even then I dont know any of the people so it doesn't really feel like it matters.

But Jennie is coming soon soooo it'll get better.

EEK

1. One of my nearest & dearest friends is apparently also attending UTD and will also be staying in the apartments with another good friend of mine which means we will definitely be able to hang out next year instead of drifting apart! :D

2. In less than an hour I am leaving to go to school to eat lunch and then take my final exam.  I'm nervous but I think I'll be okay once I get there.  In 5 hours I will be DONE with high school! "Omg yay" is an understatement.

3. I have great plans for the next week.  Really great plans.  Starting with today!  Right now I'm loading the 5 episodes of Grey's Anatomy that Jennie and I haven't seen because of finals.  Even Swedish television is ahead of us...
