Ahhhh Endgame <3 <3 <3

Idag har varit hur skönt som helst.  Har varit på Dallas World Aquarium där jag lyssnade till Bassnectar medans jag gick omkring.  FAN VAD KUL.  Alla borde göra det här minst en gång i livet.  Tänkte också på hur det skulle ha blivit om jag hade rökte innan. HAHAHAHA det skulle ha "blown my mind"

Efter gick vi till en Mexikansk restaurang där jag åt en burrito o chimichanga something or other.  Det var asgott iaf.  Och solen sken och allt var bara...najs :)

Annars har jag bara varit ute, lyssnat på Endgame och spelat lite fotboll med min bror, och kollat på film (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World - söt och roligt, tyckte jättemycket om den). Lugnt och mysigt.

Filmkväll

Imorse vaknade jag med ett telefonsamtal från Northern Arizona University.  Jag hade frågat efter information om hur jag kan plugga i Sverige och få college credit samtidigt.  Bara en idé men hoppas att det går.  Kvinnan på andra sidan var jättepigg o glad och jag bara orkade inte så jag fick till slut fel information.  Excellent.

Men efter det har det varit en ganska bra dag faktiskt.  Jag hann göra mitt tvätt, tvätta Daves "cage", få en bok för skolan, spela piano och gitarr, och handla en present till en kompis på Amazon.com (och en skiva till mig).

Ikväll far jag med en kompis för att se den nya filmen Black Swan med Natalie Portman och Mila Kunis.  Spännande! Jag har hört jättemycket om denna filmen och jag har bara varit på bio typ 2 gånger hela hösten.  Jag önskar att jag kunde åka oftare, men det har jag helt enkelt inte råd med.  Men whoo hoo för ikväll.  Hoppas att filmen är värt mina pengar :P

Jackass

Came back a bit ago from a quick run out to Steak and Shake with some friends and then an impromptu movie night (Jackass 2).  It dawned on me and Alexis that we hadn't seen the 2nd film and we were dying to see the third.  So a couple of us watched it at her house.  Half of it anyways.

Oh man, is it disturbing.  But I love it ;)

My plans to see the third one were kind of messed up on Saturday but it led to hanging out with some super cool kids instead so I had fun anyways.  I need better weekends right now after being sick for so long and just rotting in the apartment.

But this weekend is Halloween weekend, so there is probably fun to be had.  As in, we're going out Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and of course Sunday there will be something (HALLOWEEN EVE). Excitement!  Too bad I have class at 08.30 on Monday mornings...

Call me weak, call me coward

Feeling better.  Especially now that I've talked to my buddies ;)

My back is still super sore just where the shelf hit me, but I guess it's fine...
Either way, I had a good evening despite my (semi-self-inflicted) misfortune.

I ended up cleaning for a while and then in the evening me and my brother took Nike to the park and played a bit of soccer.  Damn, that dog can run.  We had so much fun running from him while passing the ball to each other.  But as things riled down, I ran into a friend of mine and we ended up catching up for a bit before splitting ways and heading home.

Swimming has become a daily activity, and yesterday was no exception.  Swam and then started the movie Cloverfield (looove Marlena) but it was too creepy for my little brother so we watched The Proposal instead and decided to continue Cloverfield today while light out.  The Proposal is actually a supercute movie, I like :)

Dance to the Music

I have now registered for classes.  I attended Freshman Orientation and it was fun.
Jag hade verkligen roligt, samt hade det otroligt tråkigt och också hamnade på en jätte...obekväm situation. Den enda som jag kan säga är att det var en kille och han var inte allts min typ.  Allts.  Han var faktiskt så långt ifrån min typ som man kan komma.  Det var lite hemskt.

Men ja ja.  Har inte ens börjat skolan än.  Mitt schema suger, jag har lektioner överallt och börjar tidigt varje morgon.  Och jag fick inte vara med på fotbollslaget...Det sög mer än jag kan förklara.
Jag måste hitta nån idrott som jag kan vara med på.  Eller bara träna på egen tid.

Men idrott är så mycket kulare, eller hur?

Iaf, nu har jag kollat på filmen The Painted Veil.  Jag har sett den förut och till och med läst boken, men den var så jävligt bra endå.  Hemskt bra.  Väldigt...romantisk utan att vara klyschigt.



Nu ska jag gå och hjälpa till med maten.  Det blir koreansk mat ikv ;D  Det heter Samgyeopsal och det är nån slags koreansk bacon...  Iaf är det RIKTIGT gott!!  Man grillar vid bordet och äter det med ris och sallad och en olja sås grej precis när det är färdigt.  Ni borde äta det nån gång ;)

2 Things.

Saw A-Team.  So incredibly funny that I would recommend everyone to watch it.  Or, everyone that has decent taste in films and wants to see an action film that is super funny, full of great action scenes, and manages to hold onto a plot throughout it all (no matter how predictable it may be at times, still so worth it).

Don't Stop Believing

Sunday night was spent at Jennie's house where we made brownies and watched The Hurt Locker.
Amazing movie, I think.  But I think it's one of those movies where it's either you love it or hate it.  Very few people could call it in between.  It was a good type of film for me, however...I loved it.

I also think it's super cool that it got more awards than Avatar :P I haven't seen Avatar, but I don't feel especially...excited or interested in watching it.  I probably won't for a long time unless someone makes me so...yeah.

Anywho..  This week will be comprised of my Swedish oral on Wednesday, staying with my grandparents on thursday, and then having dinner at the opera house with my uncle and his family on friday before seeing the musical production of West Side Story.  I liked the movie (mostly) so I'm pretty excited about getting to see this musical.  Plus I have never had dinner at the opera house so that's pretty exciting.

Saturday is our 50-Something Day Party :)  I'm excited.  I'm hoping everything goes well, but as long as people show and just have a good time, everything will be great.  Everyone is welcome (unless told otherwise...).

Next Wednesday is my English oral.  Scaaary!  But everything is coming to an end soon!  And then Emma and I need to have our annual tequila night next week as well :)

I can't believe how fast time is going.  It's already almost April.  And then it'll be almost May.  And suddenly June and July and then we'll be entering university! Spännande :)  I'm a sucker for this stuff.  I love the idea of going to university and playing soccer again and joining a sorority and studying and working...I just don't know how it'll be...I've experienced a Swedish life and I'm not sure I'll be able to let that go...I'm much more swedish now than I was 2 years ago...


two years of my life.  that's amazing.  two entire years I'll have lived in Sweden.  two of my best years, as well...

Miss Beatrix Potter

Yesterday I watched a film with  my grandparents.  It was the film with Renee Zellweger as Beatrix Potter and Ewen McGregor as her publisher and it was just a simple and nice film.  I grew up with these stories so it was super nice to recognize all the small name.  Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail, and Peter :)

I want a cat named Tom Kitten, a goldfish called Little Proof, two bunnies named Peter and Benjamin, and a golden retriever whose name I haven't found yet...

It's insane how much I love goldens.  It makes my heart ache thinking of getting another one though, after Snowy.  Snowy was so perfect, I can't imagine it...

But how could one resist?

I doubt that I'll have any pets in the next 5 or so years though, just because of school and probably moving around, I wouldn't want to do that to a pet.  Not if I couldn't give it the attention and love it deserves.  I might get a cat soon though.  We'll see.  Depends on where I am and such.

I can't wait to get a golden though.  They literally make my heart explode more than any other dog or animal really.  Maybe it's just the memories of Snowy...I'm not sure.

I miss her like crazy every day.

A Night at the Movies

More like several nights with several movies and several tv series.
Friday I went to Folkhögskola where I found out that I most likely will not be able to take the TISUS test and that would mean I would not be able to come into a Swedish university.  At least not in the fall, unless I opted to take a course in Swedish B.  Which is a bit too ridunk.

Afterwards I went home and ate something and then made way to Jennie's (just like pretty much every Friday night) to complete our weekly ritual of watching the new episode of Grey's Anatomy.  Yang and Grey = Me and Jennie in this episode.  Crazy.  It was so out of character for them and so...us? :P

Anyways, after that we watched the long awaited Brothers (after being completely pissed off that they were not showing it in Umeå, nor were they planning to ever show it and were misleading us for 4 months), which was amazing.  I think that the trailer made it seem more like Pearl Harbor, but it was actually much different.  Really good.  Followed byyy the Mentalist! (Thanks Maya, now we're both stuck on it..)

I got home and ended up baking Peanut butter chocolate cookies and watching Angels & Demons (also suuper good).



Today I went into town, bought tickets for Shutter Island (!) and then went shopping with Emma.  I finally found it! I found the necklace I've been searching for!  Love it :)

Intense

After watching The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (Amazing film, would definitely recommend it!) I realized how many tv series I actually watch.  I even counted.  23 Tv Shows.  I'm not caught up with all of them, but as far as I know, all except for maybe 2 are still running.  I don't have the time to watch them all, but I plan on watching them when I have time...

There are only 7 that I have seen every episode of, but I've seen many episodes of the others, just not all.  I'm working on it though.

But I don't want to be that person who spends 12 hours in front of a tv screen every day so I'm trying to spread it out.  But I have some catching up to do...


Anywho.

Everything hits at once.

I'll start with the films.  I'm caught up with House now and have started getting back into criminal minds.  I've loaded the Mentalist episodes so i can catch up again...Oh and I'm caught up on Cougartown.  :)

I watched the Blind Side.  Så otrolig bra.  Allvarligt.

Next thing: I was told I should apply for the Terry Scholarship, and if i don't get it then I will get another scholarship.  So I definitely have a scholarship there, just I don't know which one yet... that sucks.  I want a full scholarship without having to live in the residence hall.  or maybe i do.  It's just so expensive and you HAVE to have meals on campus, which is fine except its a grand per year for JUST dinner...Idk.

We'll see.  Plus theres the seminars for the universities on tuesday.  Where will I be???  Why can't I just figure it out? It feels like I'm literally being torn up right down the middle.

Anywho.  Lots of planning to do.  Lots of plannings to do.  I've done 2 practice orals for English now so I'm super pleased with that but I need to catch up in Swedish a bit I think...I've slacked a bit this past week.  And of course Enviro reports.  Math is actually going super great and so is Business.  History may be a lost cause...But hopefully I'll get there...One day...

I want to go to Spain after graduation...I think either Spain, Greece, or Italy would be absolutely amazing.  Or, all countries would be amazing, but these are my first choices.  But i don't want to go alone :(

The Fame Monster

Oj.  I love this cd.  Soooo much.

So yesterday I volunteered at the animal shelter.  Fun fun.

Today I called Aivy and we decided to go out for lunch and then head over to the dollar theatre.  After all, its Tuesday.  We both commented on how everyone in IB had such huge hopes and planned on applying to like NYU, Cornell, Brown, Stanford, SMU...And now everyones going to like UTD, UNT, or A&M.  Usually because of money issues...

So yeah, we had IHOP for lunch.  I had a grilled chicken caesar salad :) Yuuumm.  Haha and aivy had pancakes.  I wanted to.  I was going to get the New York Cheesecake Pancakes with the fresh strawberries and whipped cream...but it made my stomach hurt just thinking about it.  so i went with the salad.

Oh my goodness.  And then we watched Law Abiding Citizen.  It was like a cross between my understanding of Saw and Inside Man.  It was suuuper good.  Intense.

Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler were amazing :)

It was snowing when we got out of the theatre so we went home and picked up some extra jackets and went to Miller Park :D  FUn stuff.  They taught me how to do the stanky legg :P fuuun funn.  and the running man.  and jerking.  hahaha we had fun on the basketball court in the snow.

Afterwards we got too cold so we went to Alexis's house to have hot chocolate!

Yes-Man and Grey's Anatomy.  It was an explosion of happiness.

I've decided that I want to wach the Saw films.  I read the plots online so i could understand what they're about and they were actually pretty interesting.  Like the trap where the guy has to do emergency trach to breathe cause his heads in a glass jar thing filling with water.

Me: I like how I know what a tracheotemy is because of Grey's.  I learn a lot of common medical terms from watching that show.  Like aneurysm.
Jennie: or inoperable tumor.
Me: ...

we have fun.

Yesterday was Halloween.  The whole idea of a party just never happened. haha.  Instead jennie came over and we watched The Orphanage and Shaun of the Dead, both are great films.  Oh my goodness, the Orphanage is sooo good.  It's super creepy and super messed up but its a more classy type of horror film.  its not even really a horror film.  more like creepy film.  and Shaun of the Dead is one of my favorites so no complaints there :)

Afterwards it was a sväng omkring stan as we waited for Jennies bus.  Saw a looot of drunk people in costumes.  Some were funny (wolverine, duffman) while others were creepy (jennie knows which one im talkig about)

Halloween is very different here.  If I go home, I'm really going to enjoy next years halloween.

Och nu ska jag äta kalkon, typ Thanksgiving-style, fast det är inte Thanksgiving än.
Ska kanske skype-a hela familjen senare.  yay :)

Nu sitter jag och tittar på Jennifer's Body.  Ganska bra i en dåligt sett. Asså, den är konstigt men roligt.  Typ Shaun of the Dead (men inte lika bra, förstås).  Horror-Comedy är bäst :)

This sounds like it could be an amazing film.  It's already going to be screened at the Tokyo Film Festival and the message from the film could save so many dolphins.  I want to support something that helps protect dolphins.
Watching the trailer was intense.
