A Night For The Ages

Thursday: Math and bus ride in. Fun times were had, awkward people were met.  Babies licked windows and the danish man wouldnt let me get my salad from under the bus.

Friday: A day on the town.  Shopping forever, school with our hostess.  Took a beer in town and after many hours, found my white dress.

That night we went to a bar where we had plenty of beer and met some very interesting people.  (Btw: Who tattoos their birthday on their arm?  Who takes the subway to a bar at 1 in the morning to meet a girl that found your number in a toilet? And who has hair like Nick from the Backstreet Boys anymore?) Super fun night anyways.

Saturday: Hungover, lunch at Burger King.  Ate so much we couldn't eat before the concert and ended up not eating another meal until 9:30am the next morning.  The concert was breathtaking.  Afterwards we met up with Lee and went to another bar on Medborgarplatsen.  Met some more very interesting (and hilarious) people that came with us to another bar.  One after party and a good amount of alcohol later, it was light outside again, we hadn't slept in forever, and we had to hurry home, pack, and run back into town to catch our bus.  All this at 7.30am when we hadn't slept a wink all night, hadn't eaten since 2 in the afternoon, had had drinks, and were struggling to stay awake and starving.  Conclusion: amazing night apart from certain events, but mostly an amazing night.

One of my favorites.  Although thats hard to say, as I loved every single song, every single speech, every single breath she took.  It was an amazing performance.  This one was the intro:

Monday: English P2 (okay)

Tuesday: History P1 P2 (good)  (awful)

Wednesday: History P3 (alright).  Followed by hanging out with Jennie and just being outside all day.  Studied out on the lawn and played at the jungle gym. Askul!

Thursday: Woke up laughing after dreaming that I was a princess in a pink dress and I was going to be Miss Germany and suddenly i was in a wheelchair and had to drag myself up stairs.  Fun fun fun.  Afterwards, took Dea to school and then got some groceries and picked up my medicine.  Then Dea Hanna G and Jennie came by and we biked into town to have some ice cream.

It rained so much last night it was so great.  Thuuunnddeeer :)

Friday: Toooday is gonna be great :)  Jennie is coming over and we're going to have pancakes for dinner and study Enviro. yes yes yes!!

I'm Baaaack (Again!)

Nu har jag återkommit från den helt underbart HEMAVAN.
Jag sitter i Holmsund nu faktiskt och är dum i huvudet och så har inte mina kamera grejer och kan inte ladda upp bilderna ännu.  Man oroa er inte, de kommer snart! :P

Igår gick Dea och jag in till stan och bara kollade här och där och sen träffade min otrolig vän JENNIEBER :D  Det var verkligen AMAZING väder igår (och idag!)  Hoppas att det kommer att fortsätta så här.

Vi chillade lite och sen blev det till Willy:s med Dea och hennes syster att handla taco-grejer och andra...mat saker...


Vad glad jag är att bli hemma igen.
For serious.
Jag älskar ju Umeå.
Kommer att sakna det waaay too much :/

But on the bright side, jag kommer att stanna tills juli så jag har tid på mig att ta det lugnt och få njuta av allting som finns här.

Sigh.

Tillbaka till Ume

Nu sitter Jennie B och jag på bussen, på vägen till vårt kära Umeå :P
Resan har varit jättebra, och jag har älskat att vara i en stor stad igen och se mina kompisar från länge sen.
Lee och jag har varit kompisar sedan vi typ föddes men vi slutade att prata så mycket när hon flyttade till en andra skola.

I've been thinking.  I think i'll wait for my application to NYU.  the stress will kill me, and if i get in without any financial aid, i will spend my entire life working to pay it off.  so i'm just going to do regular decision, which is due the first of january.  i have time then.  niice.  plus then i can keep thinking about umeå.  i love umeå.  im not sure if im ready to leave it.

but back to the point.
stockholm has been amazing.  Thursday on the bus was fun, with lots of rapping and singing with Jennie :) when we got to the busstation, lee picked us up and everything fell into place.  we were up until 2.30am just talking and giggling.

friday we went to her school, YBC, which was kinda cool, met other ib students and everything, again, it was fun.  we went to her english class and then we walked around sickla and then nacka.  Nacka forum was pretty amazing :) it was like collin creek.  maybe about the same size, but 3 stories instead.  bought some amazing new clothes, all for very good prices too :D  jennie and i have a new favorite store: The New Yorker.  Greeeatt clothes there.  i bought 2 shirts and a cardigan thingy there.

saturday: took the SAT (finally over!) and then we went to the city, then Gamla Stan to have a fika with an old family friend of mine.  it was great catching up after so long.  then we spent 30 minutes looking for Järntorget Puben until we realized it was right in front of us and we had passed it like 3 times.  didnt stay long, went to lees place and watched Australia (hugh jackman in that movie is a jaw dropper <3).

overall, its been a great weekend.  we have some new stories to tell and some plans to make :)
jag vill att lee ska komma up till umeå snart :) men jag ska vänta tills det inte ska regna eller snöa :P  för kallt för henne kanske.  måste ta det lite lugnt.

A Successful Trip

England was great. Mostly.

I've never experienced a worse cold humidity.

I can handle hot humidity. I've done that every year of my life.

But the chills and the dampness and the constant feeling of...gross...it was too much.

Anyways, we had a lot of fun overall. Except the ditching. We were ditched a lot, which was not so much fun, but we made it through.

I kind of wished I bought something while i was there, but then again, i never really found anything. Well, i found a shirt for my brother. he'll look super fly in it :)

I've been thinking about home a lot recently. Maybe it was the trip that did it, but maybe its just overall. im really wishing i could go home for christmas. im not sure if i can handle another christmas alone. even though im never really alone, it still feels like it. they all get wrapped up in their own thing and it was just me and jenny, and even then, we werent...idk...

i want to go home.

buut heres the whole growing up part, right?

i miss home. i feel like it was too short lived. i couldve enjoyed it more. so now i just have to focus on enjoying my time here. live for the moment, right?

i dreamt that i met eminem last night. and jennie took a picture of us. and i could feel my muscles, feel soreness in my legs that i didnt understand. it was so real, but i knew it was a dream anyways. i stood with jennie on a balcony overlooking an amazing view and i told her that i knew it was a dream. and she replied that she knew it too and that it really sucked. I asked her if there was any way of transferring something from a dream to reality. all i wanted was the goddamn photo of us. if i could just will it back into reality. and i really did try. but i woke up nevertheless, alone in bed, staring at the ceiling, knowing the picture had been lost.

So now I am at my grandparents house again for the night.

I biked around Holmsund with my brother. It was nice. And when i say around Holmsund, i mean like to karlsborg and around the lake. not really around...

Anyways, moving to the new apartment tomorrow. then maybe hang out with emma (?) for a bit and then we're going to the stuga for some evening fishing :)

Cyprus was amazing.

Amazing doesnt even cut it.

I like to think i got a nice tan :)

Im not mexican dark like my sister gets but i got dark.

Agia Napa was so nice. I've discovered that I really enjoy greek food. The hotel was amazing.

Shout out to Panas Holiday Village. The entertainment was lovely. Brian and Danny were hilarious.

We played water volleyball like every day.

We went snorkeling lots. I loved the fish. They were beautiful and there were millions!

Greek boys are fiiine :P

We also went on a road trip around the south part of cyprus, which was extremely lovely.

And we went on a big boat that just went around the coast.

I leaped off the top story of the boat into the 5 meter+ deep water. It hurt but it was such a rush jumping from that high.

And the water! the water was so blue!

My brain is scattered right now.

All in all, my vacation was incredible.

Flygplats

nu sitter jag på admirals clubben på flygplatsen.

och äter trail mix eller vadå...

inte så himla mycket har hänt än så länge.

planet åker om ungefär 2 timmar.

inte så mycket att göra.

vet inte vad jag ska göra.

i morse var jag på Firewheel (vår mall) med mina bästisar.

det var skönt. men varmt som fan.

our plane was delayed forever. well 35 minutes...but still. we have an hour and a half left...blaaahh.

traffic was bad on the way over but just at the end bit.

yuuup.

Finland

So the IB1 class has spent the past 3 days in Vasa, Finland. We left from the Holmsund harbor around 1pm Sunday and arrived in Finland that evening. the boat trip was hilarious. we played game pretty much the entire time or just chilled. when we got there, we went directly to a rented lokal i guess you could call it and proceeded to play games such at the rapist and polish name games, etc. Getting to know each other games. We also took a walk around town, which was a lot of fun, as Maya built a deeper connection with the statues of Vasa.

Monday, we were split into groups and had to work on TOK presentations. I was a judge so my job was pretty freakin easy :) We went around town again and had fun and then we watched Superbad in the aula. Fun fun fun. Haha that movie is hilarious. Its been a while since ive seen it...

Tuesday was pretty much presentations, town, and then playing Mission Impossible at the school gym. It was fun. And I may have settled my living arrangements for next year. I hope so. Maybe. Im not sure. I really have to think now...Afterwards we went to mickey d's for dinner and then said our farewells and went to the ferry.

It was a great trip and i had lots of fun. so yeah.

hahaha lots of funny stories. Hej Knäckt (?), Sofas, Fat birds, Weird french fries, Statues, Lions, Sign games, Bubbles, and other random random stuff. Perhaps a video or two is in order? Will add later :)
