Fun night

So uhh people both didnt show up and neglected to call.  What the fuck?
It kind of pisses me off when people halfway invite themselves and then don't even show up.  Or they'll say they'll come and then never show up.  If you're not coming, say something.

We waited forever to order pizza cause i didnt know if people were gonna fucking show up.

But it was a good night anyways.  Watched the movies (first and second are best, i spazzed in the 3rd when Han dies.  i liked him...), ordered pizza from Papa John's :), checked out failblog.org, called it an early night.

Now i'm talking with my friend about clubbing cause her brother has connections.  but i dont know...i feel much more comfortable drinking and going out late in sweden...here i feel like im gonna get shot or raped.  this is dallas for god's sake.  "my chances for becoming a victim: 1 in 73 in dallas"  eek.  thats pretty high.  so if i go clubbing with her, im gonna have to play it safe.  one of my friends turned 18 and started clubbing and now apparently he's doing ecstasy...i dont want to fall into that.  club drugs are not my cup of tea i guess you could say.  if youre gonna do drugs, at least keep it natural...the pills are where everything goes wrong...

now im thinking of my last post again. damn those guys are hot ;)

I have a bad habit

of falling in love with rock stars <3

Some examples:

Dominic Howard - Muse

Thom Yorke - Radiohead

Jimmy Urine - MSI

Scott Weiland - Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver

and thats just a few of them...

Ikväll

Lunch!

Finished mowing the other side of the sidewalk this morning and then went out driving for a while.  My mom was freaking out cause a maintenance truck came and i just went past it and she doesnt think im ready to drive with other cars around.  I agree, but i think im good enough to not hit it so far.  im really getting the hang of it.  i feel relaxed when i drive :)

Spent the rest of the morning cleaning since people are coming in a couple of hours...

Then i spent about an hour searching for a song that i only had a vague memory of.  i remembered the artist started with an s but nothing else.  but damn, i got skillz.  found the song through thinking of other artists and searching billboard lists.  it was always by saliva.  i listened to it (its been like 6 years since i heard it) and was disappointed that it wasnt that great of a song.  but its okay.

now im listening to Iron & Wine. ahh nice :)

Have I found you
Flightless bird, grounded, bleeding
or lost you, american mouth

Rain Rain (Don't) Go Away

Today it was raining.  I love it when it rains.  Hah, I was mowing the lawn and I was almost done and suddenly there were a couple of huge drops.  And then in a matter of seconds it was POURING.

Ahhh i love texas summer rain.  We left the doors open.  It's 24 degrees celsius right now.  Sköööönt.  And then the thunder came.  Strong thunder for just a bit.  My poor Snowy was shaking :(

Afterwards I was trying to take pictures of myself which was kind of unsuccessful.  My friend is trying to hook me up as an extra in an independent film or something so I have to send in photos of myself and then we'll see if they want me in it.

Dream is back.  Our poodle.  Well sort of.  My mom gave her away but now the owners are going away for a week so we're just taking care of her for now.  The little sucker peed in my room last night.  She's been banned from my room all morning but now she's lying in her little bed on my bed.  She's one of the few small dogs I've ever liked.  Mostly.  I love big dogs...

(she fell asleep last night halfway out of her bed)

Oh yeah, 2 days ago I went to Collin Creek mall.  I love that mall.

(aivy wanted a jawbreaker)

(me and Melody in the car)

(trying on hats at Charlotte Russe.  I')

When I came home I had about 5 minutes to clean my room and fix myself up cause some family friends were coming over.  they're hilarious.  they're the family that the dad reminds me of emmas dad.  or the other way around i guess.  anyways i love that family and i've known them literally forever.  i dont remember meeting them anyways, they've just always been there.

and then yesterday I went with a friend to the big local park and we just walked around and talked.  Then we headed back to my house where we watched Slumdog Millionaire.  They aren't lying.  That movie was great.

(Duck pond at Breckenridge Park)

Tomorrow I'm having a Fast and Furious trilogy movie party.  But only with a couple of friends.  So not really a party hah.  Anyways.  It'll be fun hopefully.

My obsession with Velvet Revolver only grows.  I remember seeing them live for the first time in like 2006 or something and I fell it love, mostly cause the lead singer was wearing silver spandex pants and had one of the best live personalities i had ever seen.

Velvet Revolver = <3

I'm falling in love with your favorite song

Ugh.

New Shades

hahaha i not-so-secretly love them.
leaving your home country makes you much more patriotic, ive realized.  i used to be anti-american, then i left and realized how good i had it (...most of the time...)

and now that ive left sweden i realize how nice sweden was.

im caught in the middle :O

// why cant my hair be like that every day? why does it take chlorine to make it wavy :( //

This is Wonderland pt 2

So here is the song i wrote.  its sttill not edited and keep in mind that it was all kind of improv in 3 hours and i suck at singing...but it was immense amounts of fun so im happy with it.

its short and repetitive.  deal with it.

aaaand yeah. here it is.  hah the picture is just weird...but its mostly black the rest of the time.  its kind of Emiliana Torrini meets The Birthday Massacre...not really what i thought i would produce but it just kind of came...

lyrics (if you have any suggestions for a chorus thatd be great btw.  im working on making it a full song):

Come with me to see the show

In a town you do not know

Going down the rabbit hole

Just going for a stroll

Sing along and drink some tea

We’re going down on the count of three

Do you want to see?

Do you not agree?

(add chorus)

Secret paths and Cheshire cats

And that’s a guarantee

Adventure all around

In this unknown town

Queen of hearts and playing cards

Painting trees in the royal yards

Acting as the guards

Without any regards

(add chorus)

Things go bad and get out of control

And now you’ve lost your way

The path has gone astray

You cannot break away

So come with me to see the show (This is wonderland!)

In a town you do not know

Cannot find the rabbit hole

Cannot find your way back home

Obviously these most likely are off a bit.
I just thought it was interesting.

The point is, we had a great lineup today:

This is Wonderland

So I just wrote a really short song and mixed and produced it.  I've never had so much fun in my life.

I mean really.  I was just sitting there and recording and messing around the with keyboards and guitars and one thing led to another and i ended up writing a song about Alice in Wonderland.  Might upload it soon.  I spent about 3 hours straight working on it and my dad was actually impressed with it, which was probably the highlight of my day, and played it on the big stereo in the living room and i heard a lot of stuff i need to fix.

Anytime i had a question id ask my dad and hed walk in and get really excited and show me all these really cool effects and stuff and my mom would come and yell at him since he's supposed to be working.  it was fun though.  music is probably the biggest connection between me and my dad.  we both love this kind of stuff.  i wonder if he wouldve gotten into the music business if he wasnt offered the job at ericsson.  i mean, his job works out for him great, but still.  cause he did a cover of SOS by Abba (hah, how swedish is he?) and it was great.  he really knows his stuff.

but ive been thinking about it and i dont think i want to be like him.  he has a great job but he only works on his music when he has time which isnt that often...i dont want to only work on my music when im not working and spending time with family or whatever.  i want to do this forever.  how can you get sick of it? really?

blah.
maybe i dont have to go to NYU and i can just get an internship directly at a record label or whatever.  hmm we'll see.  ill just go there.

but my mom wants me to go into the medical field.  even as a medical technician, just something to do with helping people.

how do you tell your mother who has always supported you and given everything she has to better your education that you want to go into the only field she probably would never approve of you going into?  (other than promiscuous fields, obviously.)

Musical Fusion!

i wrote a song today.  and i really like it.  thank you garageband for being amazing.

Anyways.
The past couple of days have been great.  Very laid back.  Very nice.

I've been with a lot of friends (but not all, need to work on that).  wednesday i saw aivy for the first time in 10 months.  shes ones of my bffs (hah) so it was pretty neato.  she took me to see melody afterwards.  melody literally did a double take when she saw me and then suffocated me.

we kinda just went around afterwards.  saw tori and cathryn and then went to napolis for THE largest pizza i have ever seen.  we decided to get an XL pizza and share between the 5 of us cause we thought it would be lagom.  but i barely finished my one slice.
later i crashed the IBM meeting (IB mafia, its a CAS project the ib kids from williams have) but it wasnt really much since a lot of people skipped the meeting.  pretty much i just served as a distraction :)

friday i went to melodys house with aivy and we watched peter pan and aqua marine.  we laughed throughout both movies.  i love those two.  we get really silly when we're around each other and laugh at things that no one else would ever find funny.  we act like 4 year olds pretty much...but its fun and we're tight.  also spent a lot of time drawing pictures on aivys new phone, the LG Cookie.  its a nice phone, i like it a lot and since i dont have a phone i end up using aivy's phone whenever i need something.  but i pay her back by buying her food.

today was great as well.  brianna came over and chilled for a while, then we picked aivy up and got some taco bell (quesadilla!) and went over to see anne.  she ran down the stairs screaming when she saw me (oh yeah, i didnt tell her i was back).  her parents are uber strict and insane so they generally dont let her out...ever.  so it was a big deal when they said that she could come with us to go see nancy and then go by starbucks.

i then did a stupid thing.  i got a grande coffee from starbucks.  i was just so excited that i gulped the entire thing down.  i burned my tongue too :( but now its 00.51 and im wide awake.  aivy and i didnt want to call it a night since it was only like 7 so we went to the dollar theatre with brianna and watched fast and furious 4.  it was pretty good.  i reeeaally wanna drive.  but yeah still didnt want to call it a night at 21.30 so we went to aivys house and spent 45 minutes looking for fast and furious 2 cause she was amazed that i hadnt seen any of them before today.  didnt find it so we watched aladdin 3: king of the thieves instead :D i love that movie.

i love watching old disney movies and seeing the jokes you didnt get as a kid.  like when the elephant comes and genie goes: "i thought the earthquake wasnt supposed to come until the honeymoon!"

ha. ha.

sooo its been fun.  missing umeå though.  ive also been looking at colleges a lot.  im dead set on NYU but if i dont get in, i gotta have options, y'know? colorado is a lot like sweden in a lot of ways but american too so im considering that. so far i have:
  • New York University
  • University of Denver
  • Colgate University
  • Southern Methodist University
  • University of Texas in Dallas
  • Collin County Community College
but i dont want to end up going to school for 8 years...i wanna start working as soon as i can, get into the business.
argh.

my stomach hurts.  today ive had spicy soup, a quesadilla, and a huge coffee, which dont mix together that well...

and now its 1am.  i guess i should say goodnight now? no ones online...but im not tired...

i should read my swedish books...

Night.

Äntligen Hemma

so this is pretty much the past 3 or so days:

missed the bus so had to take the arlanda express train.  got to the hotel at about 23.30

we came home to the best surprise ever.

no idea how they managed to keep it a secret for so long...

ran into an old friend who has recently gotten a puppy (maltese bichon mix) named Buzz (as in Buzz Lightyear :))

went to my brothers basketball game.  this is his first time ever playing so he wasnt brilliant at it, but i thought he did pretty good.

went to a friends house and looked at the yearbook from the past year.  yearbooks are notorious for making up quotes and im thinking this one HAD to have been made up.  reason to get up in the morning? yeah, right.  my friend was quoted to be saying "art is my anti-drug" pah!

brothers baseball game :) he's really active.  baseball, soccer (both rec and select now), basketball, tae kwon do, after school science club, chess club.  he pleasantly unites nerd with athlete :P

this poodle was at the game.  he reminds me of the reggaebusschaufeuren :P
very chill.

so thats whats happened so far...my head really hurts now and im so exhausted physically and mentally.  imorgon åker jag till en kompis förhoppningsvis.  Hoppas att hon är hemma.

Oy vey

Super Yippee.

In other news, jag är fett exalterad.

Oy då, EE day imorgon. Måste skriva om "how changes in the surrounding environment have affected the music industry of today."

fun fun fun!

funny:
